"Not for Profit" S.J.C. works with local farmers, businesses, services and artists to promote the local Mayan culture and way of life.
Vibrant , exciting and original artwork produced here is locally home grown, organic and designed by infusing ancient cultural methods and concepts with modern themes into their products.
San Juan Cooperative is a portal to introduce the world and tourists alike to the Mayan people and their way of life. Virtually everyone in San Juan la Laguna from the age of five creates, weaves paints or sculpts. Creating art is a way of life here on the lake at over 5000 feet above sea level.
